Start Creating in Seven Ways

In the beginning there was darkness. God said, Let there be light. And there was light. The Bible begins its story by citing a breakdown of what happened in the space of seven days. Merely by opening one’s eyes, we can see the byproduct of the Lord’s ingenious diligence.

We, too, are creators. As sons and daughters of the Almighty Creator, we all have this gift to be able to create things and make things happen. So how do you start creating? Here are seven steps to keep you going:

1. Imagine– Keep your gears rolling, you never know what sort of ideas might pop out.
2. Plan– Put it down. Pen and paper is safer than a man’s brain. We always forget so writing tools are handy for remembrance.
3. Start– Just start walking. The first step is always the hardest to take.
4. Patience– No one gets it right the first time. Just try and try again.
5. Work– You will never accomplish anything if you don’t work for it; let it sweat and don’t hold back your strength. Push against the mountain!
6. Team– Because two heads are better than one. If you can’t do it by yourself, do a project with your closest friends and family.
7. Rest and Appreciate– Don’t forget to enjoy what you have created. And most importantly, don’t forget to enjoy while doing it.

God rested on the seventh day and the same goes for us humans. We should find glory in our creation as God shines in glory in His best creation of all. Us.
