Transformation is not just about the physical changes or alterations in appearance, structure, and character of things. Moreover, it doesn’t simply refer to the unique phenomenon of a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. Spiritually, it is not only about Jesus Christ’s miraculous transfiguration.
Caterpillars do not push themselves to have wings and become a butterfly; it is in their nature to grow. An infant who learns to walk and talk is not really about transformation. It is a natural part of human maturation and development. These things just prove that changes do happen spontaneously, eventually and naturally.
Real transformation only happens out of personal will. It is more than the obvious physical changes. It is about the invisible perspectives and values that lead to the change that people see.
To understand real transformation better, let me use an illustration that of two women who are both overweight for many years. One woman believes that she will never lose that extra weight and inches while the other one believes that she can still have a normal body size if she works out and modifies her diet.
The latter one’s perspective is far better than the first one; this woman puts value on her physical body and therefore undergoes a process of changes toward her belief that she can have a normal body, and she will not stop unless she achieved what she desired and valued. The other woman will, therefore, remain the same, as she believes she would be.
Changes do happen out of a renewed mind and transformed perspectives and beliefs. Therefore, if you want transformation, then start adding value to the things that you believe in. Renew your mind and let the transforming take place.
Now, here are some questions to ask yourself so you can undergo the process of real transformation. What is your personal definition of transformation? How does the definition of real transformation in this post appeal to you?
You will be ready for real transformation once you are able to draw out genuine answers to these questions from yourself. You just have to understand the process in a deeper perspective.
